Muqtada al Sadr warns Turkey of entering ‘Iraq’!

Shite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr has warned Turkey of entering ‘Iraq’ and makes a direct appeal to the people of Turkey.
“People of Turkey, rise in support of your Iraqi brothers, reject these shameful acts and put out the flames of division between the two Muslim peoples,” he said.
This is new. Turkey has never had opposition to its frequent ‘incursions’ into South Kurdistan before.
Before, the US warplanes that were flying to ‘protect’ the so called ‘no fly zone’ when Saddam Hussain was in power, were called back to base so as the Turkish planes could go and bomb Kurdish villages.
But what is Muqtada al-Sadr motives for making these calls. It smacks to me of yet another player in the game of ‘Kurdish cards’. Muqtada al-Sadr is Shite whereas most Turks are Sunni Muslims. Is Muqtada al-Sadr thinking about ‘Iraqi sovereignty’ or Kurdish oil and an opportunity to get his hands on it?
Another interesting article is about the movement of soldiers around Iraq. This article about Kurdish divisions sent to Baghdad.
